How your data stays private
Privileged and confidential files are processed on hardware you own. The models run on the workstation itself, so nothing is sent to ModelSide or any cloud. There is no third party whose terms of service you have to read and keep reading. We sign an NDA before setup begins. The machine and its administrator account are yours. Can lawyers use ChatGPT for client work?
Bar guidance generally expects a lawyer to know where client information goes before using a generative AI tool. Consumer ChatGPT plans send it to a third party. A local setup answers the question differently. The model runs on your own machine, so no client information goes to a third party and nothing is retained elsewhere. You still review the output like any draft.
Does it check citations?
No AI tool should be trusted on citations without a lawyer checking them, and we say so plainly. The tools we build are strongest at working from documents you give them: summarizing, searching and drafting from your own files. Treat anything it says about case law as a lead to verify, not an answer.
