An AI workstation is a computer built to run today's open-source models on its own, with no cloud behind it. Ours is a Windows machine with an NVIDIA RTX 5090, 128 GB of RAM, a top-tier CPU and fast NVMe storage. It runs any model that fits on a 5090, including the Llama, Qwen, Mistral and Gemma families. We pick the model for each task rather than asking you to.
It arrives with the models, ModelSide Chat and your document tools installed and tested. The first day is a walkthrough, not a setup. It sits in your office like any other PC, and several people can use it over your network. Daily use does not need an internet connection. We build in New York, New York and ship nationwide.
If you already have a good PC, we can install the same software on it. We tell you plainly whether it is enough before you buy anything.

How your data stays private
The workstation is yours: the hardware, the admin account and everything on it. Models and ModelSide Chat run on the machine itself, so your files never leave it. Nothing on it is sent to ModelSide or any cloud. Our access is what you grant for setup and support, and you can remove it at any time. We sign an NDA with every office. Medical and dental practices also get our HIPAA commitment in writing. Built to support your HIPAA obligations: patient data is processed on hardware you own, nothing is sent to ModelSide or any cloud, and we sign a Business Associate Agreement.
Questions we hear
What is ModelSide Chat?
ModelSide Chat is the assistant on the workstation. Questions are answered by the model on the machine, and nothing goes out over the network. It needs no account or subscription. Point it at your document folders and it answers from them. It comes installed on every ModelSide workstation.
Does the workstation need an internet connection?
Only occasionally. It goes online to download models at setup, for Windows and driver updates, and when you start a remote support session. Daily use needs no connection at all. If you prefer, it can run fully disconnected and we handle updates on-site.
Can the whole office use one workstation?
Yes. It can serve several people over your office network. Speed depends on how many people use it at once and the size of the model. We size the build for your headcount and say when a second machine makes sense.
What if it breaks?
Tell us and we diagnose it, remotely or on-site. Your documents stay where they are; the AI layer can be rebuilt. What happens if a part fails is written into the scope.
